Rekey or replace?
If your locks are in good shape and you simply want old keys to stop working, rekey. It's fast, inexpensive and keeps the hardware you already have. If the lock is worn, damaged, low-grade or you want a different style or finish, replace it.
Either way we'll show you the options and the price before doing anything. Many homeowners rekey the whole house and upgrade just the front deadbolt.

Common questions
What's the difference between rekeying and changing locks?
Rekeying changes the pins inside your existing lock so a new key works and old ones don't; the hardware stays. Changing locks replaces the whole unit. Rekeying is faster and cheaper when the lock is in good shape.
Should I rekey after buying a house?
Yes, and right away. You have no idea how many copies of the old keys exist. We can rekey every exterior door in one visit and key them alike so you carry one key.
Can you make all my doors use the same key?
Usually, as long as the locks are the same brand or keyway. If they're not, we'll tell you which ones would need to be swapped and what that costs.
Do you install smart locks?
We do, including keypad deadbolts and app-connected locks, and we make sure the door is aligned so the motor isn't fighting the strike every time it locks.
