Measured exact, installed clean

Garage Door Installation

New residential garage doors — insulated and standard — measured, supplied and professionally installed to fit your home and your budget.

Upgrading or replacing?

The biggest face of your house deserves better than 'good enough'

Your garage door can be a third of what people see from the street — and in Idaho, it's also a wall of your house that faces winter head-on. Whether you're replacing a door that's beyond repair or upgrading curb appeal before a sale, we supply and install quality new doors sized to your opening, your style and your budget.

Exact measurements, honest recommendations, a clean professional install, and the old door hauled away. That's the whole experience, start to finish, anywhere in Boise and the Treasure Valley.

What we handle

Doors for every home

From builder-grade steel to carriage-style showpieces.

Steel sectional doors

The workhorse — durable, low-maintenance and available in every panel style and color. The best value per year of service of any door made.

Insulated doors

Double-skinned doors with a foam core keep the garage warmer through Idaho winters, run quieter, and resist dents far better than single-layer panels.

Carriage-style doors

The classic swing-out look with modern overhead convenience — a serious curb-appeal upgrade for craftsman and farmhouse homes.

Windows & hardware

Window sections, decorative hinges and handles, and modern glass-panel looks — the details that make a stock door look custom.

Exact-fit measuring

We measure the opening, headroom, side-room and track path before anything is ordered — so the door that arrives is the door that fits.

Old door haul-away

The old door, tracks and springs leave with us. You're left with a clean garage and a door that works — nothing to drag to the dump.

Repair or replace? When a new door is the honest answer

We repair doors every day, and if yours can be fixed for sensible money, that's what we'll tell you — it's most of what we do. But some doors are past the line: rotted or delaminating panels, multiple bent sections after an impact, rust through the stiles, or a 30-year-old single-skin door where every part is tired at once. Repairing those is renting time, not buying it.

The rule of thumb we use: if the repair costs more than a third of a comparable new door, or if this is the second major repair in two years, replacement is usually the better spend. We'll price both paths and let you decide — no pressure either way.

Why insulation matters in the Treasure Valley

An uninsulated steel door is basically a radiator in reverse: it pulls heat out of the garage all winter. If your garage is attached — and especially if there's a bedroom above it or you work in it — an insulated door changes how the whole end of the house feels, takes load off the furnace, and cuts street noise noticeably.

Insulated doors are also simply built better: the sandwich construction makes panels stiffer, so they resist dents from basketballs and bikes and flex less in the wind. It's the upgrade we recommend most often, and the one people thank us for the following January.

What installation day looks like

Most single-door installs are done in a morning. The old door and hardware come down safely — springs are under tension and go first, correctly. New tracks go up plumb and square, the sections stack and lock, the springs are wound to the door's exact weight, and the opener is reconnected and re-tuned to the new door's travel.

Before we leave: balance test, force and safety-reverse tests on the opener, weather-seal checked along the floor, and a walkthrough with you. Then the old door leaves in our truck.

Good to know

Common questions

How much does a new garage door cost in Boise?

It ranges widely — a quality single steel door is a very different job than an insulated carriage-style double with windows. We give free, upfront estimates: we measure, you pick the door and options, and you have the full installed price before anything is ordered.

How long does installation take?

Once your door arrives, most single-door installations are finished in a morning; doubles usually take a day. Special-order styles and colors add lead time on the manufacturer's side, which we'll tell you when you order.

Can I keep my existing opener?

Usually, yes — if it's in good shape we reconnect it and re-tune its travel and force settings to the new door. If it's on its last legs, install day is the cheapest possible time to swap it, and we'll tell you honestly which case you're in.

Do I need an insulated door if the garage isn't heated?

If the garage is attached to the house, insulation still pays off — it buffers the rooms next to and above the garage, quiets the door, and stiffens the panels. On a detached garage used only for parking, standard doors make more sense. We'll steer you right for your setup.

Will you match my HOA or house style?

Yes — panel styles, colors, window layouts and hardware options cover just about any neighborhood requirement. Bring us a photo of the house and we'll show you doors that suit it.
