Getting you in without wrecking the lock
Most residential lockouts are opened with picks and tension tools, which leaves the lock exactly as it was and costs you nothing beyond the visit. Drilling is a last resort for a seized or high security cylinder, and we tell you before we do it, along with what replacing it will cost.
The aim is that you are back inside and your lock still works afterwards.
Why we ask for proof it is yours
Before a door is opened we check the property is yours, with a licence, a lease, a utility bill or a tenancy agreement. It takes a minute and it is the same protection you would want if somebody called us about your front door.
It is not a formality we can skip, and any locksmith who would is not one to let near your house.
